Burmannia cryptopetala Makino
Family: BurmanniaceaeJapanese: シロシャクジョウ (白錫杖) [Shiroshakujō]
These little mycoheterotrophs pop up from from shallow flats of dead leaves, in simular areas to B. itoana. I wonder if the even more diminutive B. liukiuensis might exist in Yakushima? Thanks to Mitsuhashi-san for helping me learn to find them.
