Elaeocarpus zollingeri K.Koch
Family: ElaeocarpaceaeJapanese: ホルトノキ [Horutonoki]
Occasional red leaves are mixed in the the slender green leaves reminiscent of olive trees, which is supposedly how this species came to be known in Japan as the 'Portugal tree.'
